AML Policy

Exchange-ETH.com is committed to preventing the use of its services for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, or any other unlawful activity.

This AML Policy describes the general principles we apply to risk control, transaction monitoring, and compliance review in connection with our cryptocurrency exchange services.

Our Compliance Approach

As an Ethereum-focused exchange service, we maintain a risk-based compliance framework designed to support lawful platform use while preserving a practical user experience. This framework may include:

  • transaction monitoring
  • wallet and blockchain screening
  • sanctions checks
  • fraud-prevention controls
  • source-of-funds review in higher-risk cases
  • enhanced review of unusual or flagged activity

We reserve the right to apply compliance measures proportionate to the risk presented by a transaction, user behavior, or legal requirement.

Transactions Subject to Review

Transactions may be delayed, rejected, frozen for review, or canceled where necessary if they involve indicators such as:

  • suspected fraud
  • sanctions exposure
  • links to stolen or compromised funds
  • darknet or illicit marketplace exposure
  • mixing service exposure
  • structuring or evasion behavior
  • materially inconsistent transaction patterns
  • legal or regulatory requests
  • insufficient information to complete a review

Information We May Request

Where justified by risk or legal obligation, we may request additional information, including:

  • confirmation of wallet ownership
  • transaction screenshots or hashes
  • identity-related documents
  • source-of-funds or source-of-wealth explanation
  • explanation of transaction purpose
  • additional compliance documentation

Failure to provide requested information within a reasonable period may result in refusal of service or further restrictions.

Sanctions and Prohibited Activity

Exchange-ETH.com does not knowingly provide services to persons, entities, wallets, or jurisdictions subject to applicable sanctions or restrictions, or to users attempting to engage in unlawful conduct.

Users must not use the platform for:

  • money laundering
  • terrorist financing
  • sanctions evasion
  • fraud or deception
  • theft-related activity
  • use of compromised wallet credentials

Reporting and Cooperation

Where required, we may report suspicious activity or cooperate with competent authorities, regulators, courts, or law enforcement bodies. We may also preserve records and transaction-related information for compliance, investigative, or legal purposes.

We are not obligated to disclose the internal logic, thresholds, or triggers of our compliance systems.

Risk-Based Nature of Service Access

Although the site may present a streamlined exchange experience, no user has an unconditional right to access or complete a transaction. Exchange-ETH.com may decline, suspend, restrict, or terminate service access where necessary to manage legal, compliance, security, or reputational risk.

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring that:

  • funds used are lawfully owned or controlled
  • wallet information submitted is accurate
  • selected blockchain networks are correct
  • transactions do not violate laws applicable to them
  • they respond truthfully to reasonable compliance inquiries

Policy Updates

This AML Policy may be updated at any time to reflect regulatory expectations, operational changes, risk controls, or legal requirements.
